SUSUKI PIANO SCHOOL offers its students the possibility of attending workshops periodically.
# KODALY WORKSHOP: based on the method created ZOLTAN KODALY (1882-1967) which takes the VOICE and SONG EXPRESSION as principal means to learn music.
# DALCROZE RHYTHMIC WORKSHOP: based on the method created by EMILE JAQUES DALCROZE (1865-1950) it uses Movement and Corporal as principle means to educate the ear and musical sensibility.
SaidWorkshops aimed to give students the possibility of experiencing through Song and Movement, the repertoire of musical pieces which they will play on the instrument.
Likewise, its purpose is to take in the principles of Susuki Philosophyto the pedagogical basis of theKodaly and Dalcroze Methods.
In this way Susuki Piano School offers its students numerous sources so that the learning of music and an instrument can be turned into a means which allows them to reach free expression of their potentialities.
THOUGHTS
“The characteristics of a good musician can be summarized as follows:
1- A good formation of HEARING.
2- A well-formed INTELLIGENCE
3- A good shaping of the HEART
4- Well-trained HANDS.
The above must be developed together in a constant equilibrium”ZOLTAN KODALY
# Music should give spirit to the body so that it may be turned into visible sound. Rhythm gives spiriti to that which is corporal and holds that which is spiritual, its field of action is found in the limits of that which is conscious and that which is uncounscious, where the creative forces take the shape of Man.”EMILEJAQUES DALCROZE”
